Generic purposes operator training simulator
Generic purposes, standalone simulators are available in a single PC architecture to provide an interactive environment for theoretical and practical training on standard process schematics.
The simulator can be produced also for training of workgroup including trainee’s management tools, different access user modes, personalised log-in with name and password for the instructor / engineer figures.
Available processes:
Waste incinerator, heat recovery steam
generator, simple steam turbine, circulating water and cooling
towers.
1 ST + 1 GT combined cycle, three
pressure level HRSG, condensation open circuit fed by sea water.
The system provides simulation of both process and automation and includes:
Process windows similar to P&I diagrams
with indicator signal displays
FCD pages with function blocks that perform
control loops and PLC functions
Monitoring and command pages for motors and
other equipment
Information dialogs, charts, general
settings, options for saving and loading data
Creation and managing of equipment mal
functions, storing and running them
The simulator can be completed on request with theoretical lessons like:
Generator synchronisation (from turbine
running, performing the synchronisation with the electric network)
Boiler level control (upset in the boiler
and normal situation reset)
Steam temperature control (perform a
change in the steam temperature set point)
Load change (perform a plant load change)
Steam turbine startup and shutdown using
the by-pass circuit (changing controller set points to stop the
steam turbine while running the thermal cycle)
Steam pressure control (keeping the steam
turbine back pressure while the boiler load is changing)
Circulating water troubleshooting
(changes in ambient temperature, fouling in the condenser, ejector
failure)
